The GCW Tour, Spain & Morocco: Barceloneta

If I was going to live in Barcelona, this is where I would choose. Barceloneta, the little strip of land between the marina and the Mediterranean Sea...

Narrow streets between tall residential
buildings with bars, restaurants and shops
on the ground floor...
...with some of the buildings floating
over the streets.

The occasional pedestrian boulevard with
restaurants providing terrace dining.
Five blocks or less to the beach...
...which runs for miles in both directions.
Even Homer feels at home on Barceloneta.
And with bars every hundred yards or so, you certainly won't starve.
And if you get bored you can take the gondola to Montjuic...
Which the niece was not excited about,
but she stepped up and took the ride anyway.
