Pictures Don't Do It Justice

I wish the pictures came out better -- a self-portrait of the bottom of your feet is not the easiest photo shoot in the world -- but these are my feet...

They stopped working a little while ago. Stupidly, I spent the last hour standing on a ladder painting a 4' x 20' section of the ceiling in the wonder room. By the time I stepped off the ladder when I was done, I could barely walk.

At this point, the two blisters at the front of my left foot are only the most visible of the problems. That entire area behind my toes is basically one big, angry, potential blister. Thus, I can't really put any weight on that part of my feet. Unfortunately, the heels aren't a whole lot better. There's a blister forming at the heel of my right foot, and one's already present at the side of my left (which you can't see in the photo).

Hopefully, a night in bed will get them to simmer down, 'cause if they feel they way they do now tomorrow morning I won't be able to leave the house, much less go to work. Right now, it's all I can do to cross the six feet between the couch and the chair.

But it's good to know that this is all in my head, since, according to my oncologist, Xeloda doesn't cause neuropathy and it's been too long since I went off the oxaliplatin for that to be the problem.
