The GCW Tour, Buenos Aires & Antarctica: A Note on the Shipboard WiFi

The ship has WiFI -- sort of. It's of limited hours, operates at very slow upload/download speeds, and will drop if the ship needs it for navigation or whatnot, but it's not horribly expesive and I can at least attempt updates. If I do the cruise thing again, I'll have to remember to bring thumb drive so I can prewrite posts, copy them to the drive, and use their wired computers.

But barring enormous frustrations with WiFi, I should be able to post.

ACK! NEVERMIND...

Apologies for the ten days of radio silence, but the shipboard WiFi was completely useless. Every time I tried to log into Google, it would time out making posting pretty much impossible. But I did get all my Antarctica posts queued up so, look out, here they come.

P.S. Did I miss anything while I was away? Not only could I not upload, but downloading was pointless, too. So it's been a week or so since I've seen a headline. Let me guess: Universal peace, love and understanding broke out worldwide? No? Oh, that's right. This is the time of year when people seriously injure one another fighting over cheap electronics at the Black Friday sales. My bad.
