The GCW Tour, the Frozen Cruise: Props to the Princess

Upon returning to the cruise ship from the local stops, one tends to be greeted by one of the myriad Disney characters who welcomes you back on board. Not surprisingly, the designated greeter for our stop in Scotland was Princess Merida from Brave. When we saw her waiting, the niece immediately began pressuring the EYO to let her take his picture with the princess. Eventually, he gave in.

But total props to the princess. When he approached her and mumbled that "his sister wanted to take his picture with her," Merida refused to pose. She wouldn't agree until the EYO would state for the record that he wanted his picture with her. Eventually, he said the appropriate words, and the niece got her photo.

And no doubt at this point some the friends reading this are now wondering why I didn't get my picture taken with the princess. Oddly enough, a few weeks back I read an article about the women who play the princesses at various Disney locations. According to what I read, one of the worst parts of the gig is "overly friendly fathers." So assuming uncles would fall into the same category, I figured I'd give Merida a break.

But that wig was certainly a thing to behold...
