The GCW Tour, the Frozen Cruise: Going Ashore

Is it still false advertising when the customer knows that the vendor is lying, the vendor knows that the customer knows they're lying, and there's nothing anyone can do about it anyway?

I only bring it up because yesterday we found the channels on our TV that were playing the ads for this trip's "port adventures," and the ads are more than a little delusional. Watching the ads (and completely disengaging the logic functions of your brain) you'd think the basic unit of attendance at any given activity was the "family" when, of course, it's the bus load -- and multiple bus loads at that.

Our bus today went to Alnwich Castle, home to the Percy family for the last eight hundred or so years, as well as an oft-used filming location, going back at least to the seventies. Apparently, Disney's the Unidentified Flying Oddball (aka, The Spaceman and King Arthur) paid for their carpets. They didn't tell us what Harry Potter or Downton Abbey paid for.

But it was actually a nice tour. We got to see inside the castle (no photography allowed), walk through the poison garden, and the kids got to try their hand at archery.

There are worse was to spend a day...
