My shower, which is only used by me, is now safe for old people -- well, safer anyway. Hard to get past the conclusion that this is yet another marker that I'm old.
But given that I just about did a somersault getting into the shower this morning, I can't really deny that installing handles was probably a good move.
I'm still not happy about it, though.
Update: After applying just about every toxic chemical you can find at Home Depot, I removed enough of the semi-permanent crud from the bottom of the tub to enable some of those textured stickers to stick. In the long run, this may prove a better safety measure than the handles.
