The GCW Tour, Vietnam: This Never Happens at the Northgate Mall

So we spent the other night in the city of Cao Bang and had time to wander a bit. Before dinner we wound up in their central open market, and after dinner made our way to a few of their enclosed stores. All I can say is, now I know how the Beatles felt.

Both places we found ourselves mobbed by girls who wanted their picture taken next to us. They'd come up next to us (or make one of their friends do it), raise their hand to indicate our height, and then start laughing hysterically. Then they'd dive for their phones and have friends take pictures.

At a jewelry shop, Sib2 made the mistake of putting his glasses on the counter so he could look at something close up. The clerk on the other side immediately grabbed them, tried them on and started posing.

Definitely not like shopping at Northgate...
