The GCW Tour, Vietnam: I Forgot One (Lesson, That Is)

Everything I know about farming I learned by watching Saturday morning cartoons. One of the main things I learned is that a farm is quiet at night while everyone is sleeping then, just before sunrise, the rooster wakes up and as the sun comes up over the horizon he starts crowing to wake everyone up.

Either those animators had never been on a farm in their lives, or Vietnamese chickens run on very different internal clocks. Here, the roosters wake up at about 2:00 am and immediately start crowing. They keep crowing for at least the next seven hours. Beyond that I can't say as I can't hear them over the sound of the motorcycle.

It's no wonder chicken is one of the world's most popular proteins, despite not tasting like much. It's not taste that puts chicken on the table. It's vengeance.
