The motorcycle portion of the trip is now over. The bikes have been returned and are likely on their way out with the next tour group. Our final casualty list was one dead camera (hopefully to be returned to life back in the US) and a broken motorcycle chain (fixed with two bucks and a ten minute wait). All things considered, it was a great way to spend eight days and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing experience.
And since every good journey needs to end with a beer, we found this lovely Irish pub in Hanoi. Who says the Vietnamese can't do Irish? So in honor of my friend Anne, that's where we elected to stop.
The only sad part was you had to pay six times for a Guinness what you'd pay for the Vietnamese cans, and about twelve times what you pay for the Vietnamese home brews they serve on the street. And as much as I like a Guinness, I was too cheap to pay the premium.
But in any case, the motorcycles are done. Next up: Hue and the DMZ.
